Gold Label Black Pond Paint is a water based pond paint from the makers of the very popular Gold Label Underwater Sealant.  There is no need for a primer and unlike other paints Gold Label Pond Paint only requires 2 coats (on a smooth surface).  The 2 supplied components need to be combined and thoroughly mixed for 2 minutes.  The paint can then be applied using a brush, roller or spray.  The surface of your pond need not be completely dry as it can be applied over 'damp' surfaces.  Gold Label Pond Paint has a coverage of 6-8 m² per litre per coat on non-porous smooth surfaces.  Because the paint is water based it is much easier to clean up after yourself than resin based paints.  The second coat of Gold Label Pond Paint can be applied when the first is touch dry (approx 6-8 hours at 20°C) so it is possible, given the correct conditions to get both layers on in one day.  Gold Label Clear Pond cures in 12 hours and is fully cured in 3-7 days depending on atmospheric conditions.
